Neighbourhood Musings

Outfits

As you can see I went furniture shopping. While the neighbourhood wolf (we clearly complement each other so well) was happily peeing on my new couch, I was contemplating how to get it back to the flat. After the Dachsund/Labrador mix came by and also decided to raise his leg I gave up on this fine mustard coloured specimen. While all this was going down I was chilling in this black and white combo with a dash of tartan, hoping my bum wasn't going to catch some kind of disease.

I am wearing a Proenza Schouler jacket, a Zara scarf, an Isabel Marant top, Elizabeth and James trousers and Alexander Wang boots.

Vintage Velvet

I snapped up this vintage velvet collared (very light) coat the other day in one of my favourite Berlin stores, Gaudeli's Vintage (I'll be introducing you to this beautiful shop very soon!). I still haven't stopped clipping vintage earrings onto my right ear so here you can marvel at speciment number two that was taken home from Cologne a few weeks ago. Combined with a dress meets trousers concoction and Cruella de Vil shoes thanks to Karl the Great, this felt like a very appropriate dreary November day outfit. I have two events coming up later this week that I hope some of you will join me at but more on that later!

I am wearing a vintage coat, a dress by 5inchandup for Nelly, Zara jeans, Karl Lagerfeld boots and a Whistles bag.

I found this Thai bomber jacket in a second hand store here in Berlin for a laughable 35 €. Nothing beats vintage shopping when you find unique pieces such as this one. What to some is a martini (shaken, not stirred) is to me the ethnic print jacket and when it comes in mouthwatering cotton candy tones, any preventative measures regarding purchase of said item are futile. Coupled with a midriff baring jumper (slightly outwith my comfort zone but what the hell) and a new pair of genius-meets-awkward Pollini boots that appear as if I've been hopping from one oil puddle into the next, this outfit has been recycled four times over.

I am wearing a vintage bomber jacket, an Acne jumper, an Anton Heunis necklace, Zara jeans and Pollini boots.

Modern Day Daisy Buchanan

Although it was my initial thought, a sidecut does not guarantee ear swag. In fact, it often borderline makes me look like a lesbian, which is why I tend to avoid earrings apart from my miniature ear cuffs that have become a firm fixture. In Cologne I came across an unbelievable selection of vintage and very feminine jewellery and took this Daisy Buchanan pair dating from the 40s home with me. A pair of wide-legged trousers that might offer enough fabric to go parachuting with were a fitting match, coupled with a cropped jumper that makes my torso look questionably short. Speaking of firm fixtures, this fluffy Zara vest is celebrating its comeback for the third year in a row and has even survived a minor attack from Lea's dog. Its fluffyness reamins undeterred.

I am wearing a vintage earring, an Acne jumper and trousers, a Zara vest and Alexander Wang loafers.

My friend Jana and I have been staying on our London houseboat, which is proving to be the most unique way of experiencing this beautiful city starting with the unmatchable view we have by being situated right on the Thames. After a long night out last night my brain feels a bit like gin soaked scrambled eggs so I'm going to leave you with this outfit fitting to London's rainy weather featuring a new addition to my closet that I bought in Wiesbaden: this iconic Rick Owens jacket.

I am wearing a Rick Owens jacket, a Tibi top, an Anton Heunis necklace, a ring by Maria Francesca Pepe, trousers from Forever 21, Zara boots and a 3.1 Phillip Lim clutch.
