I have been dying a slow death and today was the first day I ventured out into the sunlight again. I felt a little bit like Smeagol overdosing on vitamin D. As you can guess, I was unable to avoid the customary winter flu (hence the silence on this blog) and even though it's offcially spring, there's no sign of it in Berlin. I still intend to enjoy today's glorious blue skies equipped with a scarf/blanket and countless layers.

I am wearing a Missoni coat, a Stefanel scarf, an H&M jumper, Zara jeans, Isabel Marant trainers and a Celine wallet

Seasonal Progression

Spring is definitely trying to bust its way through but winter is being a bit of a bastard and trying to hold onto a few more days. Therefore I'm helping the seasonal changes progress a little quicker with some white leather featuring denim inserts and functionally pointless zippers. That's just not winter appropriate.

I am wearing a Missoni coat, an Acne leather jacket, Zara blouse, Current/Elliot jeans, Acne boots (similar here) and a 5inchandup x Nelly clutch.

I'm not sure how many of you will like this outfit but I'm completely crazy about it. It sounds quite laughable when I say this but I dreamed about it and had to wear it immediately the next day. As much as I love this Isabel Marant numbered top, I find it surprisingly difficult to combine without looking like the American flag, which in regards to blasted Sandy, might be a perfect way to pay tribute to the country that I lived in for 5 years.

This Marques Almeida jacket though is literally the other pea in the pod to this top. They go together like bread and butter. In order to avoid my look going totally down grunge lane, I decided to pair it with one of my most treasured skirts and these dearly loved but extremely painful Thakoon boots.

I really hope everyone from the U.S. reading this is safe and dry. I am really worried about my family in new Jersey and everyone living on the East Coast; a 200 year old tree just narrowly missed my mom's house while crashing down onto our lawn!

I am wearing a Missoni coat, a Marques Almeida jacket, an Isabel Marant top, a Roland Mouret skirt and Thakoon boots.

Driving in Cars with No Boys

This is a typical work outfit of mine: tailored trousers (preferrably with a print that suggests I may be doodling on my clothes during my lunch break), a jumper (preferrably fuzzy and extra soft), an oversized but tailored coat, a pair of pumps (preferrably with a contrasting print) and a small bag that I can throw over my shoulder while I hop on my bike.

Lea has been meeting me during my lunch breaks to take photos so that I can also show you those ensembles I'm often unable to post because it's too dark when I step outside the office. Whenever I wear these trousers I always think of Driving in Cars with Boys, except that there are no boys, just lots of vintage cars and wasp waisted women that clearly have a penchant for shopping.

I decided to inappropriately plant my behind, although only very slightly (so maybe one cheek was resting on it) on this green vintage beauty. It was all for the sake of thematic effect; there are vintage cars on my trousers for God's sake!

I am wearing a Missoni coat, an H&M jumper, Prada trousers, Isabel Marant pumps and an Alexander Wang bag.
