Capitalistic Tendencies

The most appropriate attire for May Day don't you think? We'll see what happens when I parade Dollar print Bermuda shorts and a Wall Street-esque shirt down Berlin's riot filled streets. Maybe one day it will be women with sidecuts laying down the law at the stock market. Most likely in the most awesome, parallel universe.

I am wearing an H&M x MMM men's shirt, Acne Bermuda shorts and Céline pumps.

Mummified

I have been dying a slow death and today was the first day I ventured out into the sunlight again. I felt a little bit like Smeagol overdosing on vitamin D. As you can guess, I was unable to avoid the customary winter flu (hence the silence on this blog) and even though it's offcially spring, there's no sign of it in Berlin. I still intend to enjoy today's glorious blue skies equipped with a scarf/blanket and countless layers.

I am wearing a Missoni coat, a Stefanel scarf, an H&M jumper, Zara jeans, Isabel Marant trainers and a Celine wallet

Dangerous Livin'

Dangerous livin' in Berlin these days. First boars, then foxes and now leopards. What is the world coming to. This city is turning into the European version of ZooYork. Time to toughen up and blend in. Your best weaponry at this point is H&M or Stella McCartney. Some sort of leather, puffy vest will also prevent any deep scratches.

I am surviving in a Winston Wolfe quilted vest (similar here), an H&M jacket (similar here), an Anton Heunis necklace, Current/Elliot jeans, Chloe boots and a Nelly x 5inchandup clutch.

An Attempt at Lady-Like

When it comes to beauty products and grooming I am completely inept. I can't braid, can barely blowdry (of which the tragic results are pictured above), am unable to paint my nails without looking like I've shoved my fingers into a box of playdough, and when I try creating the alluring smokey eye it looks more as if I ran into a door knob on my way out.

These gloves provide that image of perfectly manicured nails and general-ladylike appearance that I am completely incapable of maintaining when left to my own devices. Coupled with a dainty, regal coloured clutch and a vintage coat that reminds of Ulyana Sergeenko's creations and German hunters with twirly moustaches, I think I have successfully hit the nail on the head in terms of lady-like meets personal weirdness.

I am wearing a vintage coat, a Marni vest, an H&M jacket, Alasdair's shirt underneath, Current/Elliot jeans, YSL boots and a Charlotte Olympia clutch and gloves.

Winter Florals

I was born in February, one of the coldest, snowiest months of the year and to this day I remain an avid fan of winter and the peaceful atmosphere that goes along with it. Berlin has silently been blanketed under layers of snow for several days now, muffling footsteps and lending an air of mistery to each evening. Although, like every other person, I am longing for warmer temperatures, I still intend on enjoying the beauty that winter has to offer before it disappears for another 9 months (official, seasonal reference here). I feel far more in my element, buried under colourful layers, throwing some architectural cuts into the mix and floating on oreo cookie boots, accentuated by sickeningly picturesque, swirling snowflakes.

I am wearing an H&M x Stine Riis coat and an H&M Trend jumper, Sportmax trousers, Stella McCartney boots and a 3.1 Phillip Lim bag.
