Vintage Velvet

Posted on

I snapped up this vintage velvet collared (very light) coat the other day in one of my favourite Berlin stores, Gaudeli's Vintage (I'll be introducing you to this beautiful shop very soon!). I still haven't stopped clipping vintage earrings onto my right ear so here you can marvel at speciment number two that was taken home from Cologne a few weeks ago. Combined with a dress meets trousers concoction and Cruella de Vil shoes thanks to Karl the Great, this felt like a very appropriate dreary November day outfit. I have two events coming up later this week that I hope some of you will join me at but more on that later!

I am wearing a vintage coat, a dress by 5inchandup for Nelly, Zara jeans, Karl Lagerfeld boots and a Whistles bag.

Dangerous Livin'

Dangerous livin' in Berlin these days. First boars, then foxes and now leopards. What is the world coming to. This city is turning into the European version of ZooYork. Time to toughen up and blend in. Your best weaponry at this point is H&M or Stella McCartney. Some sort of leather, puffy vest will also prevent any deep scratches.

I am surviving in a Winston Wolfe quilted vest (similar here), an H&M jacket (similar here), an Anton Heunis necklace, Current/Elliot jeans, Chloe boots and a Nelly x 5inchandup clutch.

My lazy Sunday is about to start in the next half hour where I will make my way to my favourite café together with Alasdair and Hamish and have a long, delicious brunch. Although I have worn this top so many times, I never got around to giving it it's deserved post.

For this outfit, I decided to take the perforated aspect one step further by combining it with the 5inchandupxNelly clutch, a hardcore necklace (that sparked quite a discussion about whether it's art or a weapon with security at the airport when I flew to Milan), a leather pencil skirt (which is a total nightmare to wear because it constantly rides up) and a pair of classic, pointy black pumps.

I am wearing an AdidasxJeremy Scott top, a Moxham necklace, an H&M Trend skirt, Zara heels and the 5inchandupxNelly perforated clutch.
