Pastel Indian

 

Rain and cold, cloudy weather won't stop me taking outfit pictures ;p. The weather has turned for the worse so my outfit palette has gone towards silver and pastels again coupled with me trusty black boots. This vintage fleece blazer and I have a long history and it has served me well (as well as being a blanket for Hamish on more than one occasion). Now that  the temperature isn't below freezing, I am able to wear it again as a jacket. The best seven dollars I have ever spent! 

I discovered the most beautiful shop the other day during my lunchbreak selling these incredible stone and brass necklaces. I walked out with the piece of art I'm wearing in this post. More photos of that to come tomorrow!

Hamish fell ill yesterday and after having to take him out 3 times during the night, I am seriously suffering from lack of sleep. Oh well, enough complaining. The point is, it is Friday which means freedom, partying and sleeping in once the clock strickes 17:30!

I'm telling you, the minute the temperatures start to rise I decide now is a good time to pile on the leather and the layers.  Layering is my favourite way of dressing because it makes an outfit more complex and I don't think I need to mention my love for leather. Some touches of bright colours were necessary though. It is spring after all!

Finally I get to show you my new leather Muubaa jacket in all its glory! I have been looking for an oversized cut like this with a low belt for what feels like an eternity. The cropped, close cut sleeves give it a really tailored feel. I have wanted to take photos by this church that is just up the road from my work for a long time and yesterday I finally managed to go there during my lunch hour to do exactly that.

While Alasdair is away pickling himself from the inside in Scotland, my friend Lea has been kind enough to take some outfit photos of me. I don't know what I would do without her!

Burgundy Butter

 

My outfit from the other day just before Alasdair left for his bachelor party. These burgundy leather trousers are as soft as butter with a refreshing, innovative cut. They are from one of my favourite online stores, The Olive Shoppe. I decided to combine them with an Asos shirt featuring a neon elephant print and a pair of feminine pumps and my coat that I've forgotten has sleeves. I love the fact that I can wear it as a cape.

One of the best ways to spend a sunny Saturday like yesterday's is to explore your city, have your first frozen yoghurt of the year and sit in the park with a beer (or two). In other words, to do nothing but relax.
