The Year of the Dragon

2012 has been fierce. I got married, travelled to some truly spectacular places, joined CofD, worked with unbelievably talented people and started styling. I am so grateful for a year of heartwarming comments and for your support that makes me want to do my utter best every single day in order to create inspirational content for you. I hope you've enjoyed reading Personal Uniform as much as I've loved writing, photographing and throwing outfits together for it. With that in mind, here are some of my favourites of 2012!

I hope this year has been magical, brought love and laughter into your lives and that 2013 will be even better!

A special thank you to my love Alasdair, Lea, Jana and Fran for your support and patience!

I'm stuck in a leather rut. Please don't help me. This boxy top still makes me gasp everytime I pull it over my head – the layering possibilities are endless. The odd kindergarten inspired, sparkly backpack thrown in for good measure allows for lots of carefree, childhood memories to flare up and makes me hate having to be a grown up even more.

On another note, I think I quite suit facial hair. (Keeping that inner child entertained.)

I am wearing an H&M x Stine Riis coat, a Topshop top, an H&M x MMM men's shirt, Mango trousers, Balenciaga boots and an Elly Cheng backpack.

I took my snow white beauties (a Christmas present from Alasdair) for their first spin today in the golden winter sun, fusing them with Joanna Pybus' 1960s, pop culture inspired top. My favourite oversized coat and this pair of leather skinnies, that have basically become an extension of my skin, give it a touch of comfort and warmth, much needed in 0° temperatures. Apologies for having gone under the radar, I've been spending some much needed quality time with my family. How was your Christmas and how is your post-Christmas tummy doing?

I am wearing an H&M x MMM coat, a Joanna Pybus top, an H&M Trend shirt underneath, Acne leather skinnies and Celine pumps.

Here I am sitting in front of the telly watching the Muppets Christmas Carol, wearing my new, tartan pajamas and Celine pumps that I received from Alasdair, singing "no cheeses for us meeces". My family and I had the most amazing Christmas eve (including drunken charades). I am so thankful! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas eve as well, with delicious food and lots of presents!

I want to thank everyone that stops by here, that takes the time to read and comment on my posts – I don't know what I would do without your feedback and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Enjoy your Christmas day.

This is what happens when I'm left alone with Henrik Vibskov's pants. Halfway throughout our very long shoot, of which you've already seen the behind the scenes here, I decided to put myself in front of the camera and pull shapes (and faces), sans glasses, sleep and makeup with Leni documenting my idiotic moves. It's important to not take yourself or fashion too seriously.

The glove pockets are the most genius design detail of the century. Since the trousers were for the shoot, the size was too small (and I know they aren't the most flattering on me), but you get the idea of the level of über-coolness these are on. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on them in the near future and wear them baggy with a shirt semi-tucked in. The Zara shirt I'm wearing ended up flying all over the place thanks to my acrobat skills and enthusiastically flailing arms.

I have a lot of thanks to say tomorrow so expect a Christmas post. Until then, I hope you are getting through the last day (or two for those that celebrate on the 25th) of manic Christmas preparations. See you tomorrow!

I am wearing a Zara shirt, Leni's Doc Martens and pants by Henrik Vibskov.
