Flares for Life

Not to start sounding like a tape recorder but, I'M BACK. Really. Truly. Seriously. The flu hit me hard this time, in addition to the stress of moving but I beat both bastards. Here I am chilling in my new crib, covered in Isabel Marant's blood-red flower meets prison print that feels like a fist hitting winter hard in the face. The 90s flare cut would normally make me cringe, evoking images of Spice Girls gone wrong, but when it comes with fringed seams, even I can't control myself. I upped the ante by throwing in a strong dose of soft white, topped off with my angry muffins.

Finally, to announce the winner of the goddamn giveaway, chosen by the random number generator: Rhoda Wong! You can start writing Christine Centenera that loveletter. Thank you everyone for partaking! There will be more giveaways in the future!

I am wearing an Acne leather jacket, a Margaux Lonnberg Tee, Isabel Marant jeans and Celine pumps.

Revival of the Inner-Granny

I know I'm slightly obsessed with regards to shooting in front of graffiti. I think at this point I have shamefully placed myself in front of all notably dilapidated buildings in Berlin's Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg districts; they are so much more interesting than the perfectly restored ones. Now that I have moved to Friedrichshain, I'll progressively employ it's 10am, post-Berghain cool vibe for personal vanity. Ahh, the shallow joys of blogging! The artfully sprayed (still searching for the word penis somewhere), flesh-coloured and bullet riddled beauty of a wall proved to be the perfect backdrop for my inner-granny outfit. The ladylike aspect of the coat and bag were gracefully taken down a peg or two with studded boots and what could pass as a onesie pyjama. A dash of pattern was provided courtesy of Isabel Marant herself.

I am wearing a vintage coat, an Isabel Marant Étoile jacket, an Urban Outfitters onesie, Chloé boots and a vintage Chanel bag.

Mummified

I have been dying a slow death and today was the first day I ventured out into the sunlight again. I felt a little bit like Smeagol overdosing on vitamin D. As you can guess, I was unable to avoid the customary winter flu (hence the silence on this blog) and even though it's offcially spring, there's no sign of it in Berlin. I still intend to enjoy today's glorious blue skies equipped with a scarf/blanket and countless layers.

I am wearing a Missoni coat, a Stefanel scarf, an H&M jumper, Zara jeans, Isabel Marant trainers and a Celine wallet

Toe-Dipping

I have completely forgotten what the sea smells like and what temperatures above 15 degrees feel like  magical most likely. This blazer from Set whisks me away to those seaside days where I dipped my toes into the salty ocean and felt the sand swirl between my toes. Mentally I have already hopped onto the bandwagon of anything with stripes and when it comes in this beautiful, slightly crinkled cotton material with delicate blue lines, I immediately wanted to jump into my car with Hamish, drive to the baltic sea and eat lots of fish, all while feeling like a very posh sailor. Let's hope that daydream transfers into a realistic scenario in the near future.

I am wearing a blazer by Set, trousers by 3.1 Phillip Lim and a necklace by Anton Heunis.
